We are looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to lead and run the mechanical operations of our almond orchard business.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working on machinery while leading a small team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet and equipment reliable and ready to support day-to-day farming operations, particularly during peak periods.
About the Role
In this role you will:
- Lead and supervise a small workshop team
- Work hands-on on plant and machinery
- Manage repairs and maintenance of trucks, tractors, sprayers, harvesters, pumps and bores
- Plan and carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Implement and maintain 5S workshop standards
- Ensure high standards of safety and workmanship
- Balance quality, timeliness and cost in maintenance decisions
- Work closely with farm and operations teams
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A trade qualification in mechanical or a related field (preferred)
- Strong experience with agricultural, heavy or industrial machinery
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A practical, hands-on leadership style
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail
- Reliable work ethic and professional attitude
