Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and motiviated Diesel Mechanic to join our team supporting large-scale agricultural operations across the our almond orchard sites.

This is a hands-on role working across multiple farming sites, responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet including trucks, tractors, sprayers, harvesting equipment, pumps and bores. You will play a critical role in ensuring machinery reliability so farming operations run safely, efficiently and on schedule.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely and cost-effective mechanical repairs and servicing across our fleet. This includes:

  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and identifying root causes
  • Prioritising repairs in line with operational requirements
  • Attending on-site breakdowns across various farms
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and safety checks
  • Liaising with local suppliers to source parts and solutions
  • Recording maintenance, time and parts accurately
  • Maintaining workshop tools, equipment and inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards

This role requires initiative, sound judgement and the ability to balance quality workmanship with operational priorities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong experience with agricultural, heavy or industrial machinery
  • Takes pride in delivering high quality workmanship
  • Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Is self-motivated and works well within a team
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation
  • Is flexible with working hours including overtime and weekend work during peak periods
