Development Supervisor / Relief Manager

AgField Services is seeking to recruit a Development Supervisor / Relief Manager with significant experience in horticultural development, operations or irrigation to assist with the development of horticultural assets for AgField Services’ clients as well as providing relief supervision to existing operational orchards.

The role will assist manage the coordination of resources and contractors responsible for all aspects of orchard development (years 0-3) including soil and site surveys, ground preparation, infield irrigation and water storage construction through to planting and operations as the orchard is established.

Strong communication and liaison skills are required to ensure all stakeholders are aware of project deliverables, expectations, timing, changes and risks. Importantly the position will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the safety of all staff, contractors and visitors through the proactive participation and promotion of safe work practices.

As a senior member of the team, this role will also assist supervise, on a relief basis, existing developed orchards and dryland crops. This will involve overseeing orchard and cropping operations to ensure activities are efficient, safe and timely.

Requirements

The position requires a person with farming expertise as well as:

  • 3+ years experience in horticultural developments, operations or irrigation;
  • Driver’s licence;
  • Travel between different client sites;
  • Willingness to obtain Chemcert qualification;
  • Ability to be flexible with hours of work including overtime and weekend work; and
  • An understanding of WHS responsibilities.
Remuneration

Attractive salary package of circa $100,000 pa plus super, commensurate with experience and work ute.
