Agricultural Mechanic

AgField Services is seeking to recruit an Agricultural Mechanic with significant agricultural or horticultural mechanic experience, to perform quality and timely maintenance and repairs to all AgField Services owned or managed horticultural plant and equipment including tractors, sprayers, nut harvesting equipment, pumps and bores as required.

The Agricultural Mechanic will provide a high standard of workmanship and deliver solutions that consider quality, timeliness and cost. The Agricultural Mechanic is expected to consider business operations and prioritise jobs and tasks to ensure horticultural operations can be carried out in line with business requirements. Further the role is expected to maintain workshop efficiencies through adherence and contribution to 5S work processes and systems including workshop cleanliness, order and inventory control.

Working across multiple orchards, the Agricultural Mechanic will be required to travel to and from each location to carryout repairs and services as required.

Requirements

The position requires a person with extensive experience in agricultural or horticultural maintenance experience, specifically:

  • 5+ years mechanical experience
  • Experience repairing and maintaining agricultural / horticultural plant – specifically spraying and harvesting equipment highly regarded;
  • Willingness to travel as required;
  • Driver’s licence;
  • Willingness to obtain Chemcert qualification; and
  • Ability to be flexible with hours of work including overtime and weekend work.
Remuneration

Attractive salary package of circa $100,000 pa plus super, commensurate with experience, including work ute and tool allowance.
